The best way to improve every person English skills (and not only English, but any foreign language) is to get into the native surrounding in order to get as much of communication as possible. Even an old proverb says: “If you are in Rome, do as Romans do”. But we may interpret this saying in a different way – if you want to learn English, become partly an Englishman and behave like they do.
Actually, the process of learning any foreign language includes several modules: Grammar, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Only if to combine them all one may learn and then know the English, for example, perfectly. But the most effective method remains learning English in the native surrounding. The learner may after some time firstly get separate words, then separate phrases and understand them. The main is to listen as much as possible and only after starting to understand one may try to speak.
Besides, there are other effective methods: listening to English language songs and reading the words of them (trying to follow the words). Even an exercise of filling in the gaps into the words of songs is very important as the listener may try to reflect the correct words himself or herself.
