Ever heard the expression ‘Out with the old, in with the new’? I am sure you have. In my opinion, that phrase describes perfectly the ever-changing world of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Increasing your MLM Lead Generation page popularity and improving your page ranking is the name of the game here and you’d better stay on top of it if you want results.

However, there are several SEO methods that will always be at the core of search engine optimization. That is what we are here to talk about.

This is where your SEO should start: keywords are an indispensable aspect of your search engine optimization efforts. You must understand the concept of keywords, or else you might as well give up on your SEO MLM lead generation dreams right here.

A keyword is what people are putting into the search box of a search engine. It doesn’t always have to be a single word, but it can be.

For instance, /MLM/ is a keyword, but /MLM Opportunity/ is also a keyword. When the keyword has more than one word in it, it can also be called a keyword phrase or a keyphrase. One of most important things that you can do with your SEO is target specific keywords. You can do this by including them in your website content.

So, why should you go to such great length looking for the right keywords? Well, simply put, if internet surfers can’t find you, you do not exist. Let’s say they are looking for information on your MLM opportunity by name, but your website is not optimized for that keyword. In that case, all your potential MLM leads will go to your competitors who actually took their time to master this step.

I do need to caution you against an enormous mistake a lot of internet marketers make when it comes down to choosing keywords. What they do is pick the keywords based on their website content and not on how popular and profitable the keyword is. Let me show you what I mean.

Let’s say your website is primarily about a work from home business. It would be a terrible idea for you to target /work from home/ keyword. If you do a quick Google search for this keyword, you will find as many as 309M results! Do you think you stand a chance getting to the first page for this keyword?

On the other hand, search for /successful work from home business opportunity/ yielded 47M results, which is still very high, but obviously much better than 309M. It will be significantly easier to be in the front of the pack for this keyword. (Tip: ideally you want to stay under 300K search volume, although the number is very subjective. The less, the better, in other words.)

Would you like your website to be on the 214th page of search results for a keyword that is searched for 1000 times each day? Or would you rather be on the second page of search results for a keyword that is searched for 10 times each day?

So how do you find which keywords to target?

I’d like to suggest a couple of ways. One of the criteria you should look at is your keyword search volume. It should give you an idea of how popular the keyword is. So simply go to a Google search box, type in your keyword and see how many results come up. Again, anything under 300K is pretty good. You might have to try out a few different ways to get the right results, but you will eventually find the right keywords to boost your MLM lead generation.

    I worked my ass off to build a mlm business some years ago, and why, because I didn’t know what I know today.

    Today I – and I suppose you also know – that The Company MUST have management experience with integrity.
